Looking back for all the times that I’m with my best friend makes me cry. My best friend passed away two years ago because of an accident. Although they were Loans, the parents don’t have choice since the life of their daughter was at risk. Melting permafrost is also increasing the risk of erosion and landslides. Alaska’s more than 2,000 glaciers are causing worries, too. Scientists have expected the glaciers to get thinner as a result of warmer temperatures. But in 2002 studies showed than many Alaska’s glaciers are shrinking even faster that scientists had thought.

The treatment called Boron neutron capture therapy involves injecting the stable isotope of boron into the patient. As the isotope attaches itself to the tumor cells, a beam of low-energy neutron is then used to disintegrate boron-10. The tumor cells are destroyed in the process, but this leaves the nearby healthy cells intact. Currently, BNCT is being used as an alternative therapy against brain cancer and neck. But scientists have yet to prove that this treatment is better than the current types of therapy.
